Kurgan

The Kurgan of the Eastern Steppes are also notorious slavers. As part of a battle's spoils, they collect the survivors and tattoo them on the face with the marks of a particular tribal ruler or "zar." The ink used almost always includes some amount of warpstone to start the mutation process and to dissolve the slave's previous loyalties.[1a] A slave is considered an investment. The zar must feed and clothe his slaves, keeping them healthy and hale enough to serve him. In exchange for his efforts, he expects his slaves to fight. Rival tribes will pit their slaves against each other in fighting rings. Since they harvest slaves from the same places, it is all too common to have former comrades fight each other in bloody deathmatches. Those who win these contests are accorded more freedoms and greater status, and those with continued success can throw off the shackles of slavery to become a full member of the tribe, possibly even one day displacing the zar himself.

Slayers

Slayers, known as Drengi in Khazalid[6a], are the ultimate Dwarf warriors, the perfect personifications of death and destruction, and bringers of doom to the enemies of their people. Slayers are Dwarfs who believe that their honour has been irreparably stained and so have sworn a solemn oath that they will not stop fighting until their chosen foe is defeated or they themselves are slain. Slayers gladly seek out death in combat, believing that such a doom is the only way they can ever truly reclaim their honour and redeem themselves in the eyes of their ancestors.

Rat Mother

A Rat Mother, sometimes called a Breeder, Broodmother, Skaven Breeder Queen, or colloquially as a "rat-wife," is the only known type of Skaven female, a creature birthed only to serve her species as a bloated, baby-making factory. Each Rat Mother weighs at least 700 pounds and measures 10 feet long from snout to tail. Their flabby, soft bodies bristle with dozens of protrusions, all of which leak the foul-smelling milk on which their litters are weaned.

Witch Hunter

Witch hunters are grim, cold individuals who have dedicated their life to the eradication of corruption wherever it may be. Most witch hunters are the Imperial state-sanctioned Templars of the Cult of Sigmar. However, there are a wide variety of others, from the Colleges' Masters Vigilant to local mercenaries hired out to a nobleman's service. What they all have in common however is their dedication and zeal against all things tainted and unpure

Knights Panther

The Knights Panther, formally the Order of the Knights Panther and colloquially often simply called the Panthers[27b], are a secular Knightly Order of the Empire dedicated to the eradication of mutants and Chaos worshippers alike, as well as preserving the racial purity of the Empire and protecting the territorial integrity of Sigmar's realm

Knight

A knight is an elite, professional soldier, primarily deployed as heavy cavalry, who are generally, but not always, of noble blood. Knights specialise in fighting in heavy plate armour or mail while wielding large melee weapons, often from horseback, and comprise a general's most elite shock troops. Knights can be found across the Old World, including in Bretonnia, the Empire of Man, and the southern realms of Estalia, Tilea, and the Border Princes.[1a] Many knights believe they have a chivalric duty to protect the lower classes of their nations, though not all of them acknowledge it. There are a large number of knightly orders in existence across the Old World, such as the Knights of the White Wolf, the Knights Panther, the Reiksguard Knights, and the mighty Bretonnian Grail Knights, blessed servants of the Lady of the Lake. Religious orders of knights who serve the various cults of the Old World Pantheon are known as "templars",[1a] while knights who sell their services as mercenaries are called "free lances".[

Chaos Knights

"Knights of Chaos are awesome fighters, raised from strong Northmen stock, their skills honed over the years by constant battle amongst themselves and against other races. They are held in fear and awe by the tribes of the north, and have great respect and authority amongst the tribes." Chaos Knights are towering Chaos Warriors clad in the thickest Chaos Armour, and whose dreaded reputation is known throughout the realms as some of the Known World's most feared horsemen.

Dragon-Blooded Shugengan Lord

"For the people of Grand Cathay, loyalty to their Dragon masters is paramount. They take faith from the strength of these lords, and know, as long as they are true to their will, that the empire of Grand Cathay will never falter before her enemies." A Dragon-Blooded Shugengan Lord, also spelled Dragon-blooded Shugengan Lord, is a Dragon-blooded noble of Grand Cathay who is a wizard capable of casting spells from the Lore of Yang or the Lore of Yin as a result of their Draconic ancestry and can also master the form of Cathayan High Magic known as Feng Shi. Such wizards, themselves the Human descendants of Cathay's ruling Cathayan Dragons, often lead the Celestial Empire's armies into battle in the name of their ancestors, the Celestial Dragon Emperor and the Moon Empress.
